US Family Health Plan is a health benefits
plan for eligible family members and retirees of all seven uniformed
services: the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public
Health and NOAA. You're eligible for
the plan if you are in any of the following categories:
- Husbands, wives and eligible family members, including
stepchildren, of active duty uniformed service members*
- Retirees, their husbands and wives, and qualified
unmarried children*
- Non-remarried husbands and wives and qualified unmarried
children of deceased retired service members*

* Children qualify if they
are unmarried, 21 or younger or up to the 23rd birthday if he or she
is in school full-time.
The benefits of the US Family Health Plan
include a consistent, coordinated program of healthcare managed
by a Primary Care Physician. Special duties may make it necessary
for active duty personnel to receive their care from military facilties,
and deployment may result in members being absent from the area
for months at a time. Consequently, active duty uniformed service
members may not enroll in the US Family Health Plan at this time.
